Link Popularity – Step by Step Guide to Attract Inbound Links Using Social Marketing

One of my top methods I use to develop link popularity by attracting more inbound links is by using step-by-step guides to social marketing. The primary reason I used this is very simple, using such methods as tying Web 2.0 and social marketing together allows my focus to be on user submitted content which may social networking sites obviously provide an arena for. In order to develop the maximum amount of user submitted content, I upload material on a daily basis and sometimes several times per day. This is sometimes tough to do because eventually it actually gets a bit boring developing the same content everyday but my gratification comes in the form of increased subscribers and optins.

My online marketing motto is, “extreme focused content”, which means finding out what my nearest competitor is doing and do twice as much. When I was in the Army, prior to my retirement after 23 years, I use the same method in order to achieve higher ratings and get promoted quicker than my peers. All I had to do was find out what they were doing and do one more thing in each category. Over time, I would appear to be the expert or leader in each of those categories. It is no different when creating link popularity by using step by step guides to attract inbound links using social marketing.

So how do I do it? How do I attract more inbound links?

Follow these steps:

1. Social bookmarking. By using any of the online tools, and there are many for free, you can easily submit your content to 25 to 50 different bookmarking sites with the click of one icon. There is no easier method to creating link popularity and develop inbound links then this method.

2. Article marketing. Although at times this can be tedious to knock out 10 articles per day on the same topic, it is still the top methods I use. Even my coach who is one of the top article marketers in the world submits 15 articles on a daily basis. I personally submit 20 articles per day on a particular niche topic every two weeks. Most times within those two weeks sometimes three weeks I will take over the number one spot as an expert author in that niche topic category. Once your articles pick up momentum and you start having a number of them published on the top article directories after two weeks is easy to start attracting 10 new subscribers per day, 20 new subscribers after four weeks, and 30 new subscribers per day after two months. When each of those subscribers links to your article from their blog or website you will attract inbound links and link popularity.

3. Repurposing content. To repurpose your content means using the same material in several different formats such as taking one article that you submitted to one of the top article directories and rewriting it a little bit and changing the title then posting it on your blog. You can also create a short video or podcast using the same material. There are endless ways to repurpose your content, posted online and to attract more inbound links through this social marketing method which will also gain you link popularity.
